Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see you?

Generally, no. You can reach out to us directly. However, some insurance plans require a referral from a primary care physician to cover costs. We recommend checking with your insurance provider first.

What can I expect during my first visit?

Your initial consultation is a 60-90-minute-deep dive. We won’t just talk about symptoms; we’ll discuss your history, lifestyle, sleep, and goals. You are always in control of what you share and when you share it.

What does "holistic care" mean?

It means we look at the big picture. While we provide expert psychiatric medication management, we also look at other factors affecting you. We focus on the whole person, not just their diagnosis.

Are you a "pill-pusher"?

Absolutely not. Medication is a tool, not the only solution. Our goal is to use the lowest effective dose to stabilize your system while we work on the lifestyle and therapeutic "roots" of your distress. We decide on medication together.

Do you treat Postpartum and Perinatal conditions?

Yes. We specialize in maternal and paternal mental health. We understand the unique biological and emotional hurdles of parenthood and offer treatments that are safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How do you handle ADHD in adults?

We use a neuro-affirming lens. We help you manage executive dysfunction through a combination of precision medicine and "brain-hacking" strategies that work with your unique wiring rather than trying to "fix" it.

Do you offer Court related services?

No, we don’t offer court related services.

What insurance do you accept?

We currently accept major ones, e.g., Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Carelon, and many others. We also provide "Superbills" for out-of-network reimbursement.

What is a "Superbill"?

A Superbill is a detailed receipt that you submit to your insurance company. If you have "out-of-network" benefits, they may reimburse you for a significant portion of our session fee.
